The NFA Rehiyon Dose under the proactive leadership of RM II Maria Lewina A. Tolentino and ARM Atty. Richardson A. Bassig successfully concluded the Public Consultation on the Proposed Implementing Guidelines on the Conduct of Auction for Aging Buffer Stocks held at NFA Regional Office XII Conference Hall in Koronadal City earlier today.

This activity aimed to promote the manner of disposition of aging buffer stocks through auction in accordance with RA 12078 and get the best price for the government. The auction would also free up spaces in the warehouse while preventing losses and minimizing maintenance costs brought about by storage and slow movement of buffer stocks.

The successful event was participated in by various sectoral representatives from rice millers, grains trading industry stakeholders, local government units, Regional Farmers Action Council (RFAC), farmers groups/cooperatives, consumer groups, the Department of Agriculture, and some employees of the Regional and Branch Offices.
