In line with the government’s effort to promote food security, strengthen local rice distribution networks, and ensure affordable access to quality rice at a selling price of P20/kilo for minimum wage earners, a simultaneous conduct and pilot launching of the “Benteng Bigas Meron Na!” took place on June 13,2025 at Project Hope Agricultural Cooperative (PHAC) Commissary, Ayala in Zamboanga City.

As of May 31, 2025, the National Food Authority (NFA) Region IV has significantly exceeded its January to May 2025 palay procurement target, acquiring 666,777.95 bags against a target of 374,300 bags achieving 178% accomplishment. This remarkable accomplishment is attributed to the NFA Price Range Scheme Program (PRICERS), which provide competitive and reasonable prices that encouraged farmers to sell their harvests to NFA.  This significant achievement also reflects the exceptional dedication, hard work and collaborative effort of NFA officials and employees particularly those in the Branch Offices and recognizes the vital contribution of our local farmers in maintaining the country's food security.

PUBLIC CONSULTATION ON THE PROPOSED CONDUCT OF AUCTION FOR AGING BUFFER STOCKS

The National Food Authority (NFA) Region XIV (BARMM) has successfully wrapped up the Public Consultation on the Proposed Conduct of Auction for Ageing NFA Buffer Stocks, marking a major step toward boosting government revenue, optimizing warehouse capacity, and curbing storage losses under the Bagong Pilipinas agenda.

Regional Manager II Leo V. Damole and Assistant Regional Manager Jess M. Casimiro of the National Food Authority (NFA) Caraga Region visited the newly repaired GID Cantilan Warehouse in Calagdaan, Cantilan, Surigao del Sur, last June 03, 2025, for a final inspection of the above-mentioned infrastructure project together with the Commission on Audit (COA) representatives, headed by State Auditor IV, Elsa L. Monton.
The warehouse will open to accommodate the transfer of procured palay from temporary buying stations in San Miguel, Surigao del Sur, and to procure more palay from our local farmers.
